It’s a wonderful business model that makes a lot of sense for many affluent families, couples and even singles. However, choosing the right destination club for you is a complex process that takes time and energy. Here are some tips to help you make it as pleasant and effortless as possible.
First, we recommend giving some consideration to your budget. Although annual dues are also important, using the initial deposit as an indicator of overall cost is a valid way to filter your options. You don’t need to set an exact figure, of course, but get clear on whether you have $1m +, $500 000 +, $200 000 +, or under $200 000 to allocate for a destination club membership (annual dues are likely to run to about 10% of that figure, as a rule of thumb).
