Overview
Ciel is one of the highest-priced destination clubs, with more expensive homes than average and a focus on experiences. It’s hard to get a good feel for what the club offers by reviewing its website, but as an invitation-only club, it’s not easy to find out more. The club is funded by J. Joe Ricketts, the billionaire founder of Ameritrade. Ciel creates ‘custom’ trips for its members, apparently including such options as tours of the salons and fashion houses of France, wilderness trips and gourmand retreats.
